Red Custard apple (Annona reticulata)

The straight pointed at the appex leaves are yellowish-green. The flower has three long outer petals and three very small inner ones are also yellow-green in color. The fruit has variable shape. Some are heart shape some are spherical. This one has pinkish to red in color.

The fruit is oblong, starts green and turns pink to purple to almost black as it matures. A variant of the tree produces white coloured fruit. The fruit has a combination of sweet, mildly sour and astringent flavour and tends to colour the tongue purple.
